Think headshots for business, portraits for storytelling.

Headshots focus on the face and shoulders (chest up), highlighting facial features and expression. Used for professional branding. Backgrounds are usually white, black or gray but always clear of distraction.

Portraits can be full-body, waist-up, or environmental, showing more of the person’s context. Used for artistic expression, personal branding, capturing a lifestyle, magazine features, or storytelling. The narrative can be emotional, dramatic, candid, or highly stylized. Backgrounds and lighting can be complex and should propel the client’s story.

I offer professional photography in Columbia, South Carolina and throughout the Midlands region, either in my studio or on-location.

I specialize in professional headshots, portraits, and sports portraits. I am also available for events and live sports.

Wear what you would wear to work or a job interview. Avoid busy patterns or anything overly distracting. Choose something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and approachable. Professional yet authentic is always the goal.

For a headshot session, you can usually expect at least 5 to 10 digital images, fully edited and ready for use.

A portrait session typically yields 40 or more images. The hard part will be selecting your favorite! One tip I like to give is to let your best friend pick for you. They can be better at it than you can sometimes! 

HEADSHOTS (in-studio): Plan for 30 minutes. Bring multiple outfit options. And you can see the images on the big screen as they are taken!

HEADSHOTS (on-location… for groups of 7 or more): I can move people through pretty quickly – 1 or 2 minutes per person. But I never want anyone to feel rushed. We’ll take as long as we need to get it just right! 

PORTRAITS (in-studio): 1 – 2 hours. Bring as many outfits as you like. Changing room available and we can look over the images on the big screen as we create them. 

PORTRAITS (on-location): 1.5 – 2 hours. 

SPORTS PORTRAITS (on-location): 2 – 3 hours. These require more set up… but it’s worth it! Plus they are always lots of fun. 

MEDIA DAY (Fast Session): When planning these, I tell schools to allow for about 2 – 3 minutes per player. Once everyone on the team has come through the line once (and gotten their main 2 or 3 poses), players can come back through in groups of 2 or 3 or 4 as time allows. 

HEADSHOTS: Typically delivered the next business day.

PORTRAITS: Usually within about a week. 

GAMES & EVENTS: A week or so.

With a professional behind the lens, you can stay present in the moment knowing meaningful memories are being captured.

Special Occasions – $300/hr

$300 per hour. 2-hour minimum. Additional fee of $250 if off-camera lighting is required and/or travel outside of Columbia area. You can expect at least 75 images (usually more) for every hour of shooting, in most cases.

Sports & Games – $500

$500 for 2 hours. I love shooting live sports! Just tell me when and where and I’ll be on site up to 2 hours and get as many action shots as possible of all your players. Client responsible for securing sideline access. Withing a week you’ll get a link where everyone you can see, share, and download the images. You can expect at least 75 images, usually more. Extra fee for travel outside of Columbia area
